Asphalt Shingles

Asphalt shingles are the most widely used roofing material, especially for residential applications. They were invented here in America in 1901 and have continuously improved. Rubber Roofing

Residential roofers less commonly use rubber roofing as it is intended for a low-slope roofing application. Rubber is a membrane typically glued down and less visually pleasing than other roofing materials. TC Backer Construction applies rubber roofing where necessary.

Metal roofing is made up of tiles or panels and is known for its high resistance to the elements and longevity. Metal roofing can be made of steel, aluminum, copper, or zinc, offering a beautiful accent to any home.

Synthetic Roofing

Composite Materials, sometimes called “synthetic roofing,” use a mixture of materials to make up a hybrid product that can be very durable. Composite materials are made to mimic the look of shingles, slate, or cedar shakes but without the disadvantages that come along with those materials.
