Most popular

TimberTech® & AZEK® capped polymer & composite

Premium low-maintenance decking you never have to sand, stain, or seal — just an occasional rinse. It won’t rot, warp, splinter, or fade, stays cooler underfoot with better traction than many competitors, and is made in the USA from recycled material. Backed by a 50-year fade & stain warranty and a limited lifetime product warranty on the Advanced PVC lines.

Composite

Capped composite boards give you a realistic wood look with far less maintenance than natural wood — a strong middle ground on cost and durability.

Pressure-treated wood

The most budget-friendly option, treated to resist rot and insects. Requires periodic sealing and staining to look its best over time.

Cedar & natural wood

Naturally beautiful and rot-resistant, with a warm grain. A classic choice for homeowners who want real wood and don’t mind regular upkeep.

Composite vs. wood

Should you build with composite, PVC, or wood?

It comes down to upkeep, lifespan, and budget. Pressure-treated wood and cedar cost less up front but need regular sealing, staining, and board replacement over the years. TimberTech and AZEK capped composite and Advanced PVC cost more initially but never need sanding, staining, or sealing — and resist rot, fading, and moisture for decades, which usually makes them the better long-term value. We help you choose based on how you’ll use the space and how much maintenance you want to take on.

Why it matters

Signs it’s time to repair or replace your deck

Soft, rotting, or spongy boards. Wood that gives underfoot is decaying and can become a safety hazard.

Wobbly or loose railings. Railings that move are a serious safety issue — and a code problem.

Splintering, cracking, or warping. Boards that splinter or cup are past their service life and unpleasant underfoot.

Loose or corroded fasteners. Popped nails, rusted screws, and failing connectors weaken the whole structure.

Wobbling or sinking posts. Movement at the posts or footings points to a structural problem that needs attention.

Constant upkeep. If you’re sanding and staining every year, low-maintenance decking may save you money and weekends.

Common questions

Deck FAQs

What decking materials do you build with?

We build with all major decking materials: TimberTech and AZEK capped composite and Advanced PVC (our most popular low-maintenance option), other composite boards, pressure-treated wood, and cedar. We help you choose based on your budget, the look you want, and how much maintenance you’re willing to do.

Is composite decking worth it compared to wood?

For most homeowners, yes. Composite and PVC decking like TimberTech and AZEK cost more up front than wood, but never need sanding, staining, or sealing and won’t rot, warp, or splinter — so they typically cost less over their lifetime and last for decades. Wood costs less initially but needs ongoing upkeep and board replacement.

How long does TimberTech / AZEK decking last?

It’s engineered to last decades. The Advanced PVC lines are backed by a 50-year fade & stain limited warranty and a limited lifetime product warranty, and the material resists rot, moisture, fading, and splintering throughout.

Do you build railings, porches, and screened areas too?

Yes. Beyond decks, we build railing systems, open and covered porches, patios, and screened-in outdoor spaces — so we can handle your whole outdoor living project.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. We handle the permitting and build to local code so your deck is safe, inspected, and done right.

Do you offer financing for decks?

Yes. We offer financing so you can build your outdoor space now and pay over time. Ask about current options when you schedule your free written estimate.
